Welcome to my Site!
COREY MULLINS
Here I hope you'll find everything about me that I can't put on a single piece of paper - my passions, extracurricular activities and interests, as well as some background about myself as whole. Every photo and video you see is my own (links to my personal sites are above). I hope you enjoy.

Letting Sparks Fly
Where I Am. Where I’m Going.
Since starting high school in 2011, I have found myself turning my daydreaming into something visceral - if I could, I'd always have a camera with me, capturing every moment possible through a lens. With the limited resources I had, I knew that content creation and production was a real passion of mine. My professor had said he never met someone that genuinely liked working in Premiere for hours on end, and I think that person is me.
Since arriving at Muhlenberg College, I have finally been able to turn those passions into drive and experimentation, teaching myself the fundamental aspects of Adobe Creative Cloud; software I thought I'd never be able to lay my hands on. I've been able to partake in extracurricular collaborations with classmates from school, take classes learning all the ins and out of why a shot or scene or movie looks good, and what equipment they use to do it. Along the way, I've been equipped with a knowledge I'll be forever thankful for.

ABOUT ME
A Proud Cog
I have argued that the most difficult aspects of life are not the ones where you must be motivated, but where you must be disciplined. Even if you don't want to do something, order and sanity comes from bearing the burdens regardless. To be a useful cog in the system is one of the most profound roles in society one can have; that is discipline. To be one of the larger cogs is a motivation.

Relevant Work Experience
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT, OFFICE OF COMMUNICATIONS
Fall 2015 - May 2019
During the semesters at Muhlenberg College, I have been a production assistant at the Office of Communications, primarily engaging in content creation for the DIII sports teams. This has included creating promo videos for conference games (Adobe Premiere Pro), creating game programs (Adobe InDesign) as well as graphic images (Adobe Photoshop). I also assist regularly in live streaming home events, either working behind the camera or producing behind a keyboard (Production Truck and Wirecast Pro)
HEAD OF VIDEO PRODUCTION, "AFTER HOURS" SHOW
March 2018 - Present
As part of the Muhlenberg Comedy Association (MCA), the late night comedy show "After Hours" creates content for humor, ranging from skits to interviews to hosting monologues. As head of the video production team, I have begun to assist in production and post-production of the shows themselves, as well as training future editors with the necessary components of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

Adobe Creative Cloud
Industry Essential
Focused on the more popular software from the content suite, I have learned myself how to be proficient in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects, as well as having limited working knowledge of InDesign. These tools help me present in the best light myself, my life, and all of the content that enters the Adobe work bin.

Cinematography
From Writing to Wrapping
From courses taken at Muhlenberg College as well as my endless interest in filmography, I have come to understand not only the industry-standard methods to create engaging scenes and films, but also the industry-standard equipment and tools needed to survive in a fast-paced environment, where a single mistake can be costly in more ways than one.

Mac and Windows OS
Knowledge to Save Time
Growing up in a household where computer parts were strewn about, I came to know Windows (from XP) at a very young age, utilizing each successive iteration. As I have begun to enter the industry, I am able to work swiftly in both major computer operating system environments that have become as ubiquitous today as salt and pepper. I also am proficient in all major social media platforms. The more knowledge I have now, the more capable I am later.

Live Streaming and Videography
Change On-Demand
Being able to react calmly and quickly is an important aspect of the media industry as a whole. Working with the production team for sports events at Muhlenberg, I have learned to use professional live-streaming and editing software such as Production Truck and Wirecast Pro to create compelling event broadcasts for hundreds of viewers. I also regularly work using Sony Professional AVCHD cameras both on the field and in the booth.

Educational Experience
What I’ve Learned
MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS, MUHLENBERG COLLEGE
2015-2019
Still working towards receiving my primary study in Media & Communications, I have come to understand the software and hardware of video and content production, as well as trying to balance an ethical perspective of how to use these technologies and skills for better.
ENGLISH, MUHLENBERG COLLEGE
2015-2019
Words and language have power. The ability to shape them and make something meaningful out of them is as critical a tool as it ever has been, and I have taken it upon myself to not only study the great wordsmiths of the past and present, but also understand what impact they and myself can have in creating cohesion within a confusing landscape.
